The Commission Process
I accept a limited number of painting commissions every year. Each is created as an original work in my own style, inspired by your story, place or subject.

Each commission begins with a conversation. We’ll discuss what you have in mind, where the finished painting will live and the feeling you’d like it to have.

A meaningful landscape, a much-loved property, garden or view can become the starting point. Reference photographs are normally supplied, or we can discuss the best way to capture your subject.

Your painting is created individually in my studio, in my established style and and palette. The process allows room for interpretation — creating an original work rather than simply reproducing a photograph.

Once completed your painting is carefully prepared for its new home.
Framing and delivery options can be discussed, but are additional to the commission price.
