View of Glenaroua II

$980.00

I turned ninety degrees to the right from the first vista (View of Glenaroua I), and had this view. The gravel laneway circles through the property, and back to the homestead. Despite its practical purpose, there is something symbolic about a road leading somewhere beautiful. It evokes the timelessness of Impressionistic interpretations, the brushwork in this painting is deliberately more loose. To me, this work represents how Australia can still feel like a relatively unspoilt land of possibility.

Dimensions: 30cm (12in) x 30cm (12in)
Material: Oil on canvas
Framing: Raw Tasmanian Oak
