This painting the inspiration for the entire collection. In my novel, Canvas, I referred to the hills between Coleraine and Casterton like ‘plaited artisan bread’. They are one of the most beautiful places in the world. I wanted to paint a view, especially in spring, of these green rolling hills, and the magnificence of their scale. For the first time, I included livestock, and these tiny sheep took me days! Each one has their own personality and posture. I really felt this painting set me on this incredible path for months, where all I wanted to do was discover new views, new light, and see my own landscapes with a fresh eye.

These are the same size as the original, hand-embellished by Sarah in acrylics, signed, numbered, varnished and supplied with certificate of authenticity. There will be a maximum of 10 Museum Editions each for Casterton, Home, and Hinterland. Delivery is approximately 6 weeks from order. This is the closest you will get to an original, as each print will be unique in its hand-finish.
Limited Canvas Edition
Printed on 360gsm cotton duck canvas, signed and numbered. Available in LARGE 24 ×36 inches (61 × 91 cm approximately) and GRAND 32 × 48 Inches (81 × 122 cm approximately), with a total of 50 editions per artwork.
Archival Fine Art Prints
Museum-quality archival cotton rag paper, 310 gsm, signed and numbered. Available in A3 in and A2, with a total of 50 editions per artwork. Available in Casterton, Home and Hinterland. Please note: archival prints on paper have a white border, and are discreetly signed with pencil with edition and title beneath the artwork. The A3 version has an additional 1.5” white border around the A3 image, while the A2’s white border sits within the A2 paper size.
Delivery: Please allow up to 10 business days for custom prints to be processed with our printer and dispatched, and Museum Editions up to 6 weeks, as these are stretched to a frame and hand-finished. We will be in touch with you directly on the progress of your order.
